How to Make a Treadmill Nook in a Small Home

If you have a small home or apartment that has no area for a treadmill this just might make you rethink that. Our home was 1300 square feet and each room was fairly tiny. But my treadmill is important and I didn’t really want to stick it in the middle of the living room. This required some creativity. Below are the basics steps with greater detail on my blog post at the bottom.
SUPPLIES

Floor to ceiling curtains the width of your treadmill. I used blackout curtains.

1″x2″ wood strip the length of your treadmill plus a little extra.

2 or 3 screws

Staple gun
Where I wanted my treadmill to go. This would require some rearranging in the tiny room.
My husband Roy stapled two floor to ceiling blackout curtains onto a 1"x2" strip of wood that was the length we needed to cover the treadmill.
It was then attached into a stud with one screen in the ceiling. Super easy!
I turned the area into a little exercise oasis complete with light, fan, shelf and motivational posters!
