Pallet Board Side Table
This project is part of the Cent-Sational Salvage Challenge, and I was so glad that this month’s theme was anything goes. That’s right! We had free reign this month as long as we spent under $15 at the Habitat for Humanity Restore. I’m sharing this easy Pallet Wood Side Table I made for a mere $3!
I have no clue what this was supposed to be originally, because when I found it at the thrift store there were beaded necklaces hanging from the top of it. All I knew was that for only $3, I could easily make it into something useful.
I decided to add a top using some pallet wood boards I had stashed in my shed. I measured the top of the frame, added an inch and then used a miter saw to cut the boards the correct length. It only took 8 small boards to cover the top of the frame.
I applied construction adhesive to the top of the frame, and then gently pressed the boards into place. Since this stuff doesn’t dry clear, I wiped away any excess adhesive so it wouldn’t show later. I placed some heavy items on top of it to weight it down while it dried.
Once the glue dried, I had a new pallet wood side table to add to my living room.
Isn't that a beautiful combination of white and natural wood? I love it!
I love shopping at thrift stores. Where else could you get a $3 side table? Since I already had the wood and adhesive on hand, that’s all this new pallet wood side table cost me.
