Plain Pots Now Pretty Planters

The summer is a the best time of year for rich colors. Your gardens paint the scenery with graceful swaying beauty like a painting nature itself. I needed to soften the edges the of of the hard concrete seawall. On the lake front it is a necessary evil to avoid erosion of our property. My solution is add flowers and colorful planters.
Before
I purchase all the materials needed at the store which honestly took longer than assembling the project. FolkArt Patio Paint I had in my stash, Miracle-Gro Soil with moisture control, Pop and Plop plants, Plastic Planter Pots all from Home Depot.
A Work in Progress.
As I painted the pots I realized the hot pink was not working for me at all. I kept adding the paint colors until I was pleased with the results.
Finally happy with my Painting results.
While I was gathering my supplies paint and brushes my sweet husband drilled a few drain holes in the bottom of each pot. As you can see the colors I worked with on top of the planter.
My happy Final Finish!
These flowers are amazing and affordable. The plants are in a container just as is for you to simply fill your planter to the height with the soil to the bottom of the plant roots. Then Pop the plants out Plop int in the planter and fill the soil in around the root ball until it is level on the surface.

My final piece is the dragonfly trellis purchased at Lowes. The perfect accent to raise the visual height to bring the planters into a better scale with the large seawall. Of course our house named Dragonfly has nothing to do with me falling in love with the trellis.
