When my neighbor threw out this dresser it was about to rain. I felt bad because it looked pretty decent to me, so i asked if I could have it.
Finally I didn't like how it ame out at first, so I decoupaged the stickers over the outlines! Mod Podged and clear coated and wham! There she was!
At first, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. I like the off white but it had a lot of kid drawings, stickers and chips. So i peeled and sanded and got it smooth to spray paint.
I found some Dollar Tree wall stickers and spray painted over them. But some of my spray paints splattered. I ended up with a different top drawer.
I still have to put some handle but found Ace has some pretty vintage looking copper tone ones that will go great!
It took a little over a month watching youtube videos and HomeTalk really inspired me.
The outer edges are off white with light green splatters, I had fun and now I want to do more! I have had a lot of luck spray painting little tables, this is the first full furniture I have taken on and glad I did! What a difference, my neighbor wanted to buy it back!
