I know I can make a lamp out of it but it would be a big lamp! Any other ideas?

How tall Is it? Maybe turn it into some kind of Halloween décor with BOO written in white paint or big stickers, then wound around with fall leaves. It would need something around the neck of the bottle, maybe an old hat or a huge spider?

Little dark bottles are perfect for making your own infused olive oil or something like that. Very easy, just use your standard oil and add an herb or spice. It's better than expensive stuff at the store even.

@Kellie Haha! I think I read 5 oz. the first time around. I thought the huge bottle was normal and you had a mini bottle. Sorry!

Clean the label off. Mosaic the bottle and place it in the garden. You could have a wire or something coming out of the top with little stars or flowers on it to make it look like a bottle of champagne that has had the cork popped and fizz coming out of it. Or fix it up on an angle to look like something is pouring from it into another vessel. Some crystal beads could look like something being poured from the bottle.

That would make an outstanding table lamp.

I have seen beer bottles melted in a bonfire, they take on a unique shape. You could try that with this bottle. Might make an interesting sculpture or garden art. Have fun!

If you can find string of lights that would fit down into the bottle it would make a nice table decoration to set the mood for a romantic dinner.

You can also use them as banks. Cut a 1.5 inch circle in the bottom and place a rubber stopper in it. (this allows access to the money) on the neck of the bottle (in the rear_ cut a 2 inch slit to slide the money in. Make sure the slit is large enough for the largest coin in your country. Recork the top and dip into a sealing wax (this just adds flare). When full take the money out and go on vacation. You can also not cut a hole in the bottom, fill with coins and give as a wedding gift to your son, daughter, niece, nephew, friend, or grandchild.

If you type "lamp from a bottle" in the search box above or similar words, you will see what other Hometalkers have done with wine bottles. YOu can also cut the top down to where the curve end and useGlass Window Etch to make a vase with your own design. See http://www.ehow.com/how_6008935_use-gallery-glass-window-etch.html. Good luck.
