Antique Key Wind Chimes

This Antique Key Wind Chimes is a uniquely beautiful way to upcycle & it makes the sweetest little chiming music.
I married into the perfect family. Not only are they incredibly sweet, supportive, & spiritually uplifting, but they are big collectors. As I’m sure you’ve read many times before on my blog, I love collecting & have been a collector of many items & themes since I was a child. So marrying into a family that loves to collect & often stops at antique malls & flea markets on family vacations was a dream (I had never imagined) come true.
Recently I have fallen in love with antique keys & have begun searching for unique & special pieces to start my collection. A few months ago I was antiquing with my in laws (my husband doesn’t love it as much as we do) & I asked my father-in-law a few questions about keys & distinguishing the antique from the reproductions. Turns out he had some laying around somewhere & a few weeks later he handed me these beautiful antique keys to start my new antique key collection.
I immediately started dreaming of all the beautiful things I could create. I knew that I wanted whatever I created with the antique keys to be a temporary design (rather than one that involves permanently attaching them to something) for two reasons. The first is that I didn’t want to damage the beauty of these vintage keys. Secondly, I know that it might be awhile before I find more keys that match the beauty of these & if a new idea comes to me in a dream I want to be sure that I am able to quickly recreate.
