Distressed Pine Flooring

Hey HomeTalkers.... Here's a project I completed a while back that I thought might interest you folks. It starts as a installation story about laying tongue-and-groove flooring and finishes as a tutorial on how to distress the pine finish. In this case, to "distress" means "to beat the heck out of" in order to give it a cool-looking worn or "aged" appearance. I beat it up with a trucker's chain and a bunch of big lug nuts. You can check out the step-by-step story at www.extremehowto.com. But for a quick look, here's a video I made:

Loved your video, thank-you for including it! I am one of those people who appreciates the "weathered and aged" look this creates.

Also, a lot of the time the old T&G boards that lay beneath carpeting are made of pine or other soft wood, and make a great candidate for this type of finish.
