I am obsessed with glitter and jewels. If I can add glitter to anything or bedazzle something, you best believe I will. I enjoy going around my house and finding objects that I can spruce up to add that ‘Jessica’ flare. Now that it is officially summer, I hope to spend as much time outside as I can whether it be at the beach or in my garden. So I thought I would add some fun glitter to an otherwise boring garden shovel. It is super easy and the design possibilities are endless.
WHAT YOU NEED:
  • Shovel or any garden tool of your choice
  • Glue + Brush
  • Masking Tape
  • Glitter
  • Glitter Spray

Start by applying tape to the tool in whatever design you choose.
I decided to do some sparkly stripes on mine.
Then apply some glue to the area you wish to cover in glitter.
I poured the glitter on the handle over a bag to minimize my mess and to make clean up easier. Make sure to get a solid coating where you want it.
Once you have applied all the glitter you want, spray the area with a glitter spray. I did this to add some extra sparkle and to make sure the chunky glitter was sealed in and didn’t come off in use.
Allow the tool some time to dry out in the sun and then carefully remove your masking tape to unveil your beautiful creation!
