I replaced outdated white tile and engineered marble with tumbled travertine, glass pencil tile, and creama marfil marble. The gold fixtures were replaced with chrome (including a new frameless shower door.) The large plate glass mirrors were removed and replaced with smaller framed versions. Additional lighting was added and/or relocated. The oak cabinets were stained a dark brown-black to match a new corner cabinet installed to replace an undersized medicine cabinet. The entire update cost a little more than $5000.

Gail Salminen on Feb 02, 2013@TheKimSixFix - what a lovely job. I never thought of black for a bathroom, but it really does add class! Great job. Just a little hint for keeping the glass looking new with very little effort, try the scrubbing bubbles - http://www.scrubbingbubbles.com/Products/Pages/Bathroom-Cleaner.aspx - it works wonders and requires no effort! Thanks for posting :)
