Does anyone else remember plastic curtains? My mother bought them in Woolworth's when she couldn't afford cloth curtains and yes, they were curtains in those days, not window treatments.

Yes I do! My mom had them in the kitchen and living room. They are somewhat collectible now. I see them once in awhile at flea markets and antique stores. I also collect vintage aprons. The plastic aprons can get very pricey!

YES!! We moved around a lot since my dad was in the Navy. So my mom bought those curtains. They were always such pretty patterns. I always wondered what happened to those, why you can't find them anymore. I also thought it might be a regional thing, since we moved from the east coast of Virginia to Chicago and then Texas.

Yes, My mom had them in the laundry room.. when we had the old wringer washer and 2 tubs..... we had an old sink- shallow with wooden draining board covered with one also,, .. it was used to clean fish, repot houseplants, shine shoes... anything messy we didn't want to take outside..... never had to worry about the water getting everywhere..the floor was so sloped it automatically drained back into the sink.. like it or not!

My Mom had them in the bathroom window. In Woolworth's you could buy them separately to match your shower curtain. We were pretty "uptown" then, lol!!!

Yes, I remember plastic curtains. We had them in several rooms of our house. Plastic so thin that it draped like thin fabric and ours was printed with flowers.

Oh my gosh, yes! What memories they bring back! My dad was in the military, and back then a military family moved much more frequently than they do now. Anyway, the inexpensive plastic curtains served to make each new house a home for my family.

Oh Yes, They were cheap and a lot of big families used them in the 50`s and early 60`s. I had some in my first apartment many years ago.

Yes I remember my mom had some with flowers on them and when she threw them away my brothers got them to make them a hammock up ☝ in their tree house...yes they did. My no. Looked out the window just as my brother was fixing I lay on his hammock.....down he went as the limbs broke his fall somewhat on the way down. Lol He lived, no broken bones but with a little more wisdom. 😄

My mom used to take our curtains down every summer and put plastic ones up. I wish now I had asked her why she did that.
