How to Create an Entryway When You Don't Have One

Our circa 1875 house doesn't have a formal entry. The front door opens right into the living room, so I turned the space by the front door into a makeshift entryway using a desk and keeping that area separate from the rest of the room.
Lots of natural light pours into this space.
When sitting here, we can see out across the yard to our vegetable garden.
Simple shades keep an open feel to the windows. No heavy curtains so the light is maximized.
The desk provides a great place for storing car keys, mail that needs sorting, mittens, and more.
A few old bottles adorn the desk, one with twig-type pencils.

I love the paint color on the walls. What is the color and brand? I think this would look perfect in my bedroom
