Vintage Zinc Mason Jar Lid Coaster DIY

Sometimes it’s as easy as monkey see – monkey do! When Hubby and I were antiquing the other weekend, I was inspired with these vintage zinc mason jar lid coasters and had to come back and make them myself.
I found a beautiful set of vintage mason jar lid coasters for sale at the Sungbug Mercantile in Staunton, Virginia during our trip there. While we were hitting all of the local antique stores, I searched for my own set of lids to make the same kind of coasters. Monkey see – monkey do!
I found awesome rusty and dirty vintage lids. What a perfect opportunity to clean up and to make into something fun!
I used a sheet of adhesive cork board and outlined the lid circles. First, I cut with scissors, then with the Xacto knife to ensure a little more precision.
These are the smaller jar lids, so they fit a Coke bottle or smaller water glass.
