Grandma's Table Gets a Makeover

My mom gave me this side table, which used to be my Grandma's. Although it wasn't exactly my style, I was happy to have something of my Grandma's in my own home!
In 2010, I decided to give it a makeover. I had NO IDEA what I was doing and basically gave it the worst makeover in the history of makeovers. Popped open a can of latex paint and went to work. I never sealed it or anything. Of course the paint chipped off almost immediately. It was a disaster and it stayed like that for five years. Awesome.
I finally decided to re-do it, and I'm SO glad I did. After sanding it down, I started again with an entirely new color, and I'm in love. Oh yeah, and this time I properly sealed it. Good call on my part.
For a little extra punch, I lined the drawer, and the sides of the drawer, with gorgeous paper.
It looks SO much better now, and I'm actually proud to have it in my home now. I also love that I think of my Grandma every time I see it. For more photos and a complete supply list, please visit my blog at the link below. Thanks!

It looks beautiful! What kind of paper did you use? I live in a small town & don't have access to a lot of stores. Thanx!!

What kind of paint did you use? Was it spray paint or paint out of a can? This color green is gorgeous.
