Upcycled Window Boxes

EfexUSA
by EfexUSA
The window boxes outside our store were in desperate need of updating. Sad, boring, ugly boxes...
It was high time to give them a facelift and make them worthy of being outside our creative space.
After removing the plastic liners, and cleaning off the excess dirt, it was time to start painting and Efexing!
We applied one coat of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in a mix of Paloma and Paris Grey before gluing the Efex T36 trim pieces on. We ALWAYS suggest using DAP Weldwood Contact Cement, it's the best one we've used, and believe me we've tried a lot of different brands!
The best thing about Efex, once it's applied you can use ANY finishing products you like! Latex, oil, stain, Chalk Paint, Milk Paint, crackle, decoupage...you name it! Once it's on you treat it like a regular old surface. Here we finished off our second coat with the same Chalk Paint mixture.
Viola! A little extra color to bring out the details, and some beautiful flowers of course! It's hard to believe that these simple boxes were so easy to dress up with just a few of our trim pieces and a little paint.
