Living Room Facelift

Finally after many home renovation projects and completely building our basement from the concrete foundation out I decided that 3 years was long enough to put off the first room you see when you walked in the front door!
Here is what the sitting room looked like the day we moved in!

We cleaned and painted the walls and moved in.
I started by picking out some colors and then brought together some of my favorite pieces of junk that I had on hand to start getting my creative mind going!
I love old doors, windows, and shutters! So naturally I wanted to bring those items into the space!
Here are some more of the windows from my junk pile!
I then measured the wall and all the stuff I wanted to go into the space. Played with different ideas on graph paper to come up with something that I liked!
Here is the completed space!

I painted two of the walls a semi-gloss yellow color
Here is the shutter shelf, got the shelf brackets at Hobby Lobby. Sitting on the self: wooden ladder, chair spring, Boyd's Dog, photo album of some of our old homes, old bike wheels, metal stars, decorative metal bell!
The Chair and Dresser/TV stand projects are posted!
This wall is the first thing you would see coming in our front door!

I love photography and especially enjoy taking pictures of my family!
I took these photos of my family and had them made into poster size at Sam's Club.
