That is interesting. Very though. I love the lamp. Did you make that?

How did you make the lines to show the trellis portion? I'm thinking a pencil or light grey paint maybe?
-
Wanda @ From House To Home on Aug 02, 2020
Hi Dianna...We used pencil, but grey paint would work, too.

Where did you find the candle holders that blend so beautifully with the painted vines?
-
Wanda @ From House To Home on Aug 20, 2020
Hi Karen...those came from Pottery Barn quite a few years ago. They don't carry them anymore but you can sometimes find them on eBay.

I keep coming back to this on my pinterest page, so pretty and a perfect solution for a dark brown paneled wall in our sunporch! I can just see it in our sunporch with our overstuffed loveseat beneath (need to make a new slipcover, the burgundy plaid won't match the mood!) We have metal lanterns and other 'vintage style' lighting and my birdcage overflowing with beautiful flowering plants. Will be off to purchase painters tape to day, got to get started!

@Barbara Thanks, Barbara...your sunporch sounds very pretty. You'll have to post a picture when you're done!

@Barbara I just painted an upholstered chair with chalk paint and it is amazing how well it works - it is done very fast too. This way wont have to worry about slipcovering the sofa. There are all sorts of recipes for the paint on the internet.

Saw something similar in an outdoor arbor that was used for weddings. First they painted "blue sky with clouds"; then they painted a more 'open' trellis over the sky and then added flowering vines. It was like looking up through the trellis at the sky even though the roof was solid. BEAUTIFUL!

@Martha Hinkle That sounds beautiful! What a great idea for a wedding!

Thanks for your reply...I thought that this was a project that had to be executed very precisely...I would like to try it some time on one of my bench projects...
