My 2015 Junk Garden Tour

What is a "junk garden" tour? A junk garden tour consists of beautiful annuals, gorgeous perennials, and even some lovely bulbs all displayed in and among some great rustic junk. The idea is loosely based on "Shabby Chic" decorating. In Shabby Chic style, pastels, white and floral prints and accessories are paired with rusty and time worn objects.
Like I said, in the junk garden there are beautiful flowers. Here two types of petunias are planted with a yellow and white Calibrachoa in a all metal galvanized tool box.
Galvanized tubs and buckets are junk garden musts.
Rustic signs are commonly found in junk gardens as well.
These signs are displayed on an old chair leg.
Another outdoor sign with old milk cans and rustic birdhouses,
And, I use lots of galvanized watering cans around the garden.
Old pumps are fun in the junk garden.
Hen and chicks, Sempervivums, can be planted in almost anything in a junk garden.
Finally, vintage doors, chairs, and farm tools and equipment are perfect accessories in the junk garden.

I have an old pump in my garden, but never thought to use a crystal as a drip...Love this idea, and I'll add drips to mine with a couple of smaller crystals..Thanks for sharing your great pictures!
