Make DIY Painted Accent Pillows Using Flower Stencils

If you've been eyeing our floral patterns and wondering how you could incorporate them into your home then we have the perfect craft project for you! Painted accent pillows are super easy and tons of fun to complete. Come take a look:
We'd like to introduce Serena, the creative DIYer behind the blog Thrift Diving. Serena was transforming her office into a small home office with one DIY project at a time. So when we introduced her to Paint-A-Pillow, she was happy to try it and add a splash of color to her new office space. Serena ordered the Anemone Blossom Paint-A-Pillow kit, a white pillow cover, Jacquard Fabric Paints in several different colors, and rhinestones to add sparkle.
Serena was excited when her Paint-A-Pillow kit was delivered. She read through the simple instructions that were included and was ready to start her project.
Serena had ordered several Jacquard Fabric paints because these paints are great for fabric projects. For this particular craft she chose to use the pink and orange colors.
She poured the orange paint into a foam tray and rolled her dense foam roller into it.
Serena then had a little helper paint the large floral pattern using the roller.
Once the entire pillow cover was painted, she peeled back the metal tabs holding the stencil in place to reveal her painted pillow. Then she painted a second pillow in pink.
Once both pillows were painted, Serena was ready for the fun part, embellishing! She chose to add crystal rhinestones to the center of the flower design. To apply the rhinestones, Serena used the Rhinestone Setter Heat Applicator.
Here are her handcrafted DIY accent pillows using the Paint-A-Pillow kit. To see more about this project please visit http://blog.cuttingedgestencils.com/?p=19926

Clever and pretty project, even if it is a total commercial endorsement of a line of products. Trying this with freezer paper stencils, craft paint with fabric medium and some drop cloth canvas pillow covers. Pretty neat that the company has products that make stenciling on fabric easy.

I like the scale of the stencil.
