Add Instant Style to a Powder Room With Fabric Walls and Chair Rail

I wanted to add some appeal to my powder room which looked boring, sad, and dated. To accomplish this task, I added simple elements such as fabric on the walls and chair rail.
I began by prepping the walls. I removed all hardware, mirrors, and art before washing, drying, and using a pre-mixed compound to get rid of any texture or holes in the wall. Here is a shot of the walls all prepped.
To add fabric to the walls, I hung the fabric with standard office push-pins. Next, using a paint roller and liquid starch, I saturated the fabric. After all the fabric was hung, I used a very sharp utility knife to remove the excess fabric. Next, I added a simple chair rail and painted. Here is a look at the result. Please visit the full post on my blog for a step-by-step tutorial! Thank you!
A much better looking powder room than the one I started with, for certain!
