Easy Lamp Update

Easy
Today, I am sharing a simple lamp makeover that I did after I saw a white lamp on my Instagram feed and fell in love with it. I looked so pretty, I just had to have one!
Once I decided where I would put another lamp, I looked around and really liked this one from Pottery Barn for $150.Nice right!? And that's actually a reasonable price for a lamp, but I didn't want to spend $150 on a new one when I have about half a dozen extra lamps in my attic.

So, I decided to re-purpose one that I already had by changing the color with...you guessed it! Spray Paint!
This is the victim lamp of choice, pre-makeover.
Here's how I changed it:

I removed the shade and taped off the silver base and neck like so:
Then:

I used a white (satin finish) spray paint that I had in my stash (I literally have about 15 cans of different colors).

I took the lamp outside & sprayed it in several very light layers to avoid drips and to get an even finish.
Simple as that!

In about an hour, I had a "new" trendy lamp and it didn't cost me anything.
