Tiny Half Bath Makeover

I have a very tiny half bath on the first floor of my home. It tucks right under the stairs. When we moved in it was your basic builder-grade boring bathroom.
After living here a few years we painted the walls and tiled the floors, but never did anything further.
Until I found a mirror that I fell in love with at Home Goods that started the most recent makeover. We finally switched out the little medicine cabinet and hung the new mirror. We also switched out the faucet fixtures and planked the walls 3/4 of the way up.
My husband wasn't willing to go so far as switching out the builder vanity, so I painted, stained and then distressed the cabinets to get a weathered, barn wood finish.
I added a few new accessories to complete the little makeover. Now our tiny bath has some style!

I absolutely love this! Our home has a beach theme, and I think the planked walls would work wonderfully in our master bath. Can you share what type of wood you used? Was it just standard 1x4's or something thinner?
