WHY DO THIS?
It’s easy to “forget” to clean your oven. When the door is shut, the mess is hidden. Plus, cleaning an oven is a huge bummer. Unless you try this method, which is hands down the easiest way to clean your oven.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
-Ammonia
-Water
-Baking Soda
-2 Heat-Safe Dishes
-Sponge

HOW TO:

Important Safety Note:

This method involves the use of ammonia, which is a toxic chemical. Before you break out the ammonia, make sure that your oven has a tight seal to ensure that fumes aren’t wafting through your kitchen. When you open up your oven to scrub away the grime, have a fan blowing and open up your kitchen windows.

1.) Pre-heat your oven to 200 degrees.

2.) As the oven is heating up, fill a heat-safe bowl dish with two cups of ammonia. Fill a second heat-safe dish with two cups of boiling water.

3.) When the oven reaches 200 degrees, turn it off.

4.) Set the ammonia dish on the top rack of the oven, and the boiling water dish on the bottom rack of the oven. Close the oven and let them sit overnight.

5.) The next morning, open up your windows and start a fan. It’s time to scrub!

6.) Wet a sponge and then drizzle it with baking soda. Open the oven and scrub the inside of the door and walls with the baking-soda covered sponge. The dirt and grime should wipe away immediately!
