Thrift Store Makeover | Vintage Salt Shaker Photo Holders

A few days ago I shared my vintage salt shaker Christmas ornaments. And, like I said, I still have LOTS of shakers left! So I decided to make some photo holdesr.
Here's what they looked like when I bought them:
First I decorated the fronts with vintage rhinestone buttons, earrings, and filigree pieces left over from other projects. I glued them all together with E6000.
I used annealed wire that I bought at the hardware store for the photo holder part. First I wrapped it around a Sharpie pen, tucking in the end. Then I wrapped the other end around the top of the salt shaker before screwing the lid back on. No glue on this part.
I also use these for displaying earrings at vintage flea markets.

You can read more about my thrift store makeover projects on the blog. I'd love to know what you've made from salt shakers!
