Nearly Free Sofa Table

Awhile back my husband hauled home a bunch of free wood and a barn door that a carpenter had set out for garbage collection. I wasn't sure what it all would become but I stored it in the garage. Once we finished the Faux Fireplace, I wanted a new sofa table to go with the new look of the living but it was out of my budget. So, by cutting that free wood down and pairing it with some inexpensive metal plumbing pipes, we created a modern farmhouse/industrial look.
I spray painted the piping with Rust-Oleum Antique Bronze.
Then, we simply screwed everything together. Easy!
I gave it a quick dry brushing with white paint so that the wood wouldn't compete with all the other wood tones in the dining room.

What kind of pipe are you using and from where? I was going to build something similar last summer and the cast metal flanges were $12 each at Lowes. For my design I needed 8 flanges, 6 t-connectors and several sections of pipe. It was going to cost me over $150.

@Laura Gammons Gosh, that's crazy expensive. I'm not sure how the prices or what kind of piping they have stateside but here in Germany I bought the only metal plumbing piping I could find with connectors and flanges, it was bright silver with a sticky tape on the outside but I stripped the tape and used goo gone to get the residue off. Then I spray painted everything with an antique bronze paint. Here the flanges were .49 euros cents each and the pipes ranged from .89 -1.29. The materials I used were not decorative type piping, this was not pretty piping. Did Lowes have more than one kind of style?
