Fairy Castle Garden

For our in June the challenge was to upcycle toilet paper rolls! Something you might not usually think about upcycling I know right? We tossed arounda few ideas and then decided on a toilet paper roll fairy CASTLE! Yes, totally brilliant idea!
Kristina got to work with a few tp rolls, cutting roof pieces and using hot glue to hole them in the appropriate shape for the towers and cut one roll in half for the roof. A bit of a farmhouse style castle.
We cleaned up and added a few coats of paint to an old plastic planter we had out back. Macy, the little stinker, had chewed the edges a bit but the paint sort of covered it up....
We pained our farmhouse castle in a lovely purple with green roofs on the towers, brown on the main body. A sweet red door, come on in! and a few lighted windows offer welcome to passerby.
We added some upcycled bags to the bottom of the planter and topped with soil. The addition of a few succulents, moss and a river of stones completes our idyllic fairy garden.
Turned out pretty good and should be low maintenance. Next to find some cool items to add like a swing, bridge and more!
