How to Make a Fleece Dog Toy
My dogs love playing with soft toys but unfortunately they don't last long in our house. Within 20 minutes the toy is shredded and there is stuffing everywhere! So I'm always on the hunt for cute and inexpensive toys. Here's an idea for simple toy using fleece material. You simply cut the fleece fabric into strips and braid the strips. What a terrific and inexpensive idea!
Here are some guidelines for measurements. You can use 3 wide strips for a small dog, 4 for medium dog and 5 for a larger dog. I made one with 4 strips and another with 5 strips.
Simply knot at start to braid. Then tie a knot on the other end.
It makes a nice tug toy for your dog and the fleece fabric has a lot of give. This is a special toy that I play with my dogs and then I take it away when we are done playing.
