Getting metal scratches out of toilet bowl
When we first moved into our new house, I used a metal toilet brush to clean the toilet bowl. Unfortunately, the bristles were worn in one spot, and the metal scratched the bowl. I cannot get it off, no matter what I try, as cleaners go. Any solution?
Though this may sound odd, but Barkeepers Friend powder will do the trick.
I agree with Becky, shut off the water and empty tank then use barkeepers friend or you can use a pumice stone for toilets.
I didn't know what Barkeepers Friend was, so I looked it up. Apparently it is a brand name for several different cleaners. Do you mean the one that is a cleanser and polish?
@Pg, you must have missed that I recommended the powder. https://www.barkeepersfriend.com/cleaning-products/cleanser-polish/
Yes, I did. Is that the cleanser then, or is it just called powder. Sorry.
bar keepers, Soft scrub, or comet with a Pumis block and that will do it .
Is the pumice block just like the ones you use on your feet?
No. Not that kind of Pumis. You can find them @grocery stores, Walmart, Home Depot. They are used to clean grills, pools, porcelin sinks and tubs. you can even order some online.
Thank you. I'm glad I asked. :0)
Would Ajax or something like that work as well?
So basically a powder cleanser and the pumis block?
