Paper Dahlias & Dorm Room Ideas

My daughter is returning to College for her sophomore year & will be having the same roommate as last year. I am so thankful they have become so close & have similar interests. They started a Pinterest Board & added things they liked. I tried to duplicate some of the ideas. Please see my blog for more dorm room ideas.
These paper dahlias are a fun colorful addition to those boring white concrete walls & you can use command strips to hang them as they are very light.
I thought it would be fun to make up some actual coffee mugs with their initials. I love making these and they are so easy! Just use sharpie paint pens, oil based & bake in the oven for about 20 minutes on 350 degrees.
I picked up one of those plastic bins that are so necessary for storage in a dorm room. While necessary, they are not very pretty. However, with the addition of decorative duct tape found at The Dollar Tree, it is now a fun, accent piece.
