$2 Thrift Store Wreath Becomes a Fall Leaf Garland

I found this sad little wreath at a thrift store last fall. I think I got it at the end of the season. They were marked down to $2. It wasn’t very full. You could see the plastic stems sticking out through the leaves. All along I was planning to rip it apart for something.
Using my wire cutters, I snipped off each leaf right at the base.
The flowers just pulled off so I didn’t have to cut them. I ended up with separate stacks of leaves, berries, small flowers, and large flowers. (Keep watching the blog this fall, you’ll probably see these in some different projects.)
At this point I forgot to keep taking pictures! I cut a length of seam binding and just ran a straight stitch down the center, adding one leaf at a time as I went. Now I have a fall leaf garland to decorate my flea market booth!
