DIY Wind Chimes for Our #CreativeCraftChallenge

Hi there. So glad you decided to stop by and check out my DIY wind chimes made from recycled spoons.
I had to make something to meet the May Craft Challenge. And I was lucky enough to get all the supplies for under two dollars. Score!
My supplies include six spoons, fishing line, an old candle holder and a clip I had hiding in my stash of goodies.

Since I don't have a drill or anything to make holes in the spoons to thread the fishing line through, I had to find a different way to hang my spoons. If you look at the picture to the left, you can see the spoons are wrapped and tied with the fishing line.
I decided to use the candle holder upside down. It just seemed to look better.

I tied the spoons to the candle holder - the wind chime base.

Then tied the line around the candle holder feet and finally pulled them altogether and tied a knot.
I hope you like my little wind chime project. Until next time, Best wishes, Darlene

I was just posting a memory several yrs ago, an interesting display of all types of kitchen silver (creamers, utensils, etc...I know there was an egg beater...and couldn't remember how, over the years, the couple had displayed them, and when I was just describing it, I remembered finally that they used lattice. So when one looked out the small, useless window that was so close to a fence, they added this little object of interest. It was very cute. Can you picture something like this, or have you ever seen anything like it?

Hi. How do you get the fishing line to stay on the spoons? And if it's hot glue, or I can't say the brand ( don't want trouble) the "big monkey" glue the don't do well in the heat or cold or rain. I did see the tying on top. Thanks Gigi

I don’t have a candle holder that I’m not using but I do have a metal napkin holder and I will use that! Yay! It’s in the yard sale junk box somewhere.... ;)
