Easy
If easy care but high impact is what you want in your winter landscape, consider Witch Hazels, Mahonia and Dogwood Shrubs. When your yard is drab and the garden dormant in winter, they put on a wonderful show! Here are some mid-February blooms to enjoy!
Witch Hazel "Diane" ~ a fragrant winter bloomer
Snowdrops ~ delicate flowers from a tough bulb that blooms mid-winter
Witch Hazel "Pallida" ~ a fragrant winter bloomer
There are many varieties of colorful dogwood shrubs to brighten your winter landscape.
Mahonia ~ the pointed leaves make it unattractive to deer
Witch Hazel "Pallida holds its leaves ~ a pretty contrast to the yellow flowers
