Paper Roll Pumpkins

These DIY Paper Roll Pumpkins are so easy to create & by using what you already have in your home you can make them for free!
Have you seen those mason jar lid (ring) pumpkins floating around on Pinterest? They seemed to be a big hit last fall.

While I thought about making one, I didn't have enough mason jar rings & I couldn't bring myself to buying them just for this project.

Plus, if I had bought them it would have defeated the purpose of repurposing & using what you already have to create new fall decor.
So I never got around to making one.

But I still wanted one!

Then I stumbled upon a picture on Pinterest of a pumpkin that was made of recycled ribbon spools. Before I read the title my first thought was that it was made from a toilet paper roll, but when I read it was made from empty ribbon spools I got really excited.

Maybe I would be the first one to make a pumpkin out of an empty toilet paper roll!
After doing a quick search online I found a few, but nothing incredibly similar to what I had planned. I immediately started saving empty toilet paper rolls & used paper towel rolls for my project.
Now to be honest this is my first ever toilet paper roll project. I have always been a bit leery of toilet paper roll projects because I was afraid they might look a little too, you know, toilety.

So when making these Paper Roll Pumpkins I wanted to try to avoid the toilet paper roll look as much as possible, which is why I created two different looks for my upcycled pumpkins.
