Brass is Out, Pink is In!

I found this $6 lamp base at the local resale store and loved the shape of it but not the color. I am actually a big fan of brass but not this shiny cheap brass look!
As a boy mom, I have longed to have just one pink thing in this house, but haven't found the right opportunity until now!
This light pink is so soft that I have declared it the new neutral! I used Velvet Finishes chalk paint and it did no prep work- just put two light coats right on and it covered beautifully!
I love it so much and haven't even heard a complaint from the boys yet!

I've been wondering what color to paint the base of my lamp. I just found the perfect color. Thank you. Gorgeous!
