Office Makeover

This once yellow and drab room got a serious makeover on a budget, and is now a girly and fun office space with a reading nook.
The finished reading nook is so cozy and filled with DIY projects, like the table makeover, painted bookcase, chalkboard globe and the light fixture.
Here's where the room started. Not exactly ideal!
This desk (a roadside find) was once too big for the space, so we cut it in half and made two desks, mounted them to the wall, and painted them. And that marble top? Contact paper!
The view as you walk into the office. The chair was a thrifted find and the table was faded and sad until it got a new paint job.
This gallery wall was collected over quite a lot of time and is filled with meaningful pieces. The XO was also a fun DIY project!
A picture ledge above the desk makes a great spot for a calendar and some more art.
The mix of finishes in this room gives it great texture - the warm wood, the smooth brass and the cool 'marble' are three of my favourites! Mixing patterns was also a super fun part of this makeover. Head on over to my blog to see more details!
