Patio table

I have a small patio set with inserts on the chairs and a round tabletop that looks similar to this photo without the brick edging. The concrete inserts are the usual grey concrete color and are rough in texture. Any suggestions as to what I can do to add color to it? Paint? Concrete stain? Thanks in advance for any suggestions and advice.

There is a concrete paint available.There should also be color charts at your local store.

@cindy my hubby and I have talked about staining our garage floor for awhile now, too many other more important things in our project book, but with your question I thought I'd go ahead and do some research. I'm glad I did as I found an informative site, that not only tells of the qualities and limitations, but shares brand names. We have hoped to find something safer than an acid dye and in the link below it tells of water based dyes, whic makes me very happy. I think it's lovely the way it is. Maybe sealing it will bring out the color that it has and make it more vibrant.

I would try sealing also. I had black caps on my stone walk that looked faded. I sealed it and it brought the colour back to a shiny black

I would seal it also. I used concrete stain on my outside water fountain and half of it had already washed off by the end of summer.

I agree with sealing it. It would give it a wet look and show off the stone tiles. I wish I had your table!

Pressure washing it may brighten it up for you first. Then maybe seal it. Add a planter with colorful flowers (even artificial) to add pizzazz. Best of luck.

First you need to power wash the concrete to remove dirt, grime, etc. If you decide to paint the concrete, you have to seal it first before painting, otherwise the concrete pulls the color in and you will not get a uniform looking finish, and make sure to use paint that is designed for concrete.
