Soaker Tub

by KMS Woodworks
This client of mine had an old corner tub that had cracked due to thermal shock. It was an older acrylic model. and was GREEN...the rest of the bath has solid surface counter and shower enclosure. White ceramic tile was used with green and white glass accent tiles to pick up the green elements in the other areas.
*My motivation to do this project:
Old tub was not functional.
*Project Steps:
Rip out old tub
Install small platform
re-work plumbing
tile the area
install tub and fixtures
Advice:
old acrylic is brittle, the best demo method is to smash it with a hammer and remove in pieces. Wear safety glasses and gloves, these pieces are sharp
Materials:
tub - $700.00
filler spout - $500.00
Nice deep soaker tub, double wall design was filled with spray foam for added warmth retention
roman filler spout in brass matches other faucets in bath
