What is the best way to replace a tub with a shower in a bathroom?
-
James A on Feb 06, 2011Standard tubs may be 30" deep but a shower may come out to a standard 36" so measure first. Also, can you get a prefab insert in the house? General steps are: Remove the old tub (hopefully you won't have to break it up), move the drain and extend the water lines, frame the new shower, position your shower or base, install drain and caulk, install panels, then mount shower head and faucets and finally install the door or curtain and finish any sheet rock.Helpful Reply
