  • Mosts probably not, if it is an old stain then you need to work on the stain with detergent and a stiff broom before you pressure wash. Here is a discussion on removing stains from the floor - http://www.hometalk.com/feeds?filter=garage+stain&search=posts You could follow this and the pressure wash.
  • We deal with this often. If you have a bag of kitty litter, get a container of XYLENE from ACE hardware who will sell less than a gallon at a time. Wear gloves and pour some xylene into a small pile of litter. Make a paste out of it and place over the affected areas. Press it into the stained area. Leave it alone. The Xylene will draw the oils to the surface and capture them in the litter. When the litter is dry, your spot has been sucked dry. Voila!
  • In truth it may not be possible to completely remove the oil stain, only make it lighter. That can still be better than nothing. - First thing to do is put some cat litter or saw dust over the area. Leave it there over night and see if it soaks up any of the oil. Sweep away any litter/saw dust the next day. - Pour a couple tablespoons worth of liquid dish soap on the stain. Use hot water to scrub the area, rinsing off your scrub brush as you go. - Rinse the area with hot water. - If the stain is still there, mix about a quarter cup of powder laundry detergent with enough water to make it a thick paste. Use the scrub brush to scrub the area and then leave it over night. - Wash the area again with hot water the next day. - If the stain still remains, you may need to repeat the process.

I have used OIL EATER from Costco. Do not dilute this. Let it stand for 20 minutes and use power washer. The oil should completely disappear. This helped me a lot on our driveway.
  • Being a professional pressure washer, it is very rare that the stain is completely removed from concrete. The longer the stain is there, the harder is it to remove. The only way to complete remove anything from concrete is to "etch" the area. This basically is removing a layer of the surface with an acid. This process is used when applying epoxy, like when people treat their garage floors to have an upgraded look.
