can i prune an orange tree this time of year. the oranges will be ripe in about a month.

    You should not prune your orange tree now, Bob. Pruning will stimulate growth just when temperatures are dropping (recall last December). The optimal time to prune is just before the spring growth flush. If the limbs you are removing are large, make sure you do not strip the bark when you remove them.
