I don't see why not if that's what you have
try it if it's your home but not good if you are a renter. Check out utube and Pinterest for cool ideas for your project.
Might be.
You might have to check with the tile manufacturer, some dish ware, pottery, and ceramic dishes and tiles we have a lead based glaze-not safe for food.
Just like a lot of glazed dishes you might see with a label or imprint on the bottom not safe for food, countertops often may have food contact.
There are some really beautiful large format ceramic and porcelain tiles out there ... I am talking 24 in wide by 48 in long ... or 18 in X 36 in... we got ours at Floor and Decor.. they look like concrete and we used them as a back splash.
Sure you can. I’ve seen a lot of pictures in design books where floor tiles (ceramic tiles) were used for countertops, particularly in farmhouse kitchens. Very pretty.
I agree with Vimarhonor, check for food safety first. I'm not a fan of having to deal with grout lines on a counter top; prefer solid surfaces. But . . . if you're set on using tile get the largest tile you can so you'll have fewer grout lines. Just a thought.
