With a vapor barrier, you can put any kind of floor in. Go to a good flooring display (I like Home Depot) and look at all the amazing flooring options. I am fascinated by the amazing tiles and flooring options now available! I love the concrete tiles, but, there are so many choices. You can get samples of most styles free or for a nominal charge. Pick some favorites and see how they look in your space.
Use 100% waterproof laminate flooring. I like the one with a built in cushion. Look for one that is textured surface so no slip and fall hazard. Easy to install. Stores like Surplus Warehouse carry really cheap. (All items are new.)
Thank you all so much. After reading the reviews, I think I will go with the conventional laminate flooring.
The best flooring for your basement is resilient flooring, such as vinyl, which is waterproof and does not collect mold. You will need to install a vapor barrier to make sure moisture does not get through the flooring. Visit here for more best floorings.
