Nothing worked! The walls are made of some unknown substance. I tried numerous thing. When they were sanded the walls would Crumble. When painted, the paint would bubble and give the appearance of improperly applied window tint on an 80’s Camaro. I tried many different brands, makes, sheens, thicknessess, chalk paint, I even tried spray paint. I was frustrated with the walls to the point of leaving them in an unfinished state and calling it, Creative Expression.
Alas, I cannot live with that as I fear it will make a bad impression for my children who will inevitably use it against me.
So I give myself a day at the major hardware stores and come up with a plan and a chore list.
Lathe, 1/2 inch brads, and my air compressor. A lot of sweat, saw dust, and just under 4 hours. Cost me less than $10!!!!
