Creating a Dog's Medicine Cabinet

Where do you keep all of your pet meds - flea meds, hearworm meds, ear cleaner, bandages, salve, etc. for your dog or cat? In a basket or drawer?
Orginal cabinet with crackle finish
I bought this small cabinet a few years ago for $3. Someone had tried to put a crackle finish on it, but it just didn't turn out all that great.

I put it aside for sometime and then one day, I just knew where it should go. Have you ever done that? Had a piece and did not know what to do with it, and then one day you did?

The inside was nice although it needed to be cleaned up. I decided not to paint the inside.
Inside of cabinet in it's orginial condition.
First step was to take off all the hardware and give it a good sanding. The crackle finish had made the paint really rough. I had to use an electric sander to get it smooth.

Once it was sanded, I painted it two coats of Ann Sloan - Old White. Then I added a coat of Ann Sloan clear wax and a coat of Ann Sloan aging wax.

I headed over to The Graphics Fairy and found this great graphic- pharmacie.
Once the graphic was on, it still needed something. I found some wooded corners and added them. Then added some paint and aging wax to the new corners.
Here is the finished cabinet that now holds all of the cat and dog meds.
Here is the before and after cabinet.
