Bathroom Counter Top Makeover

by Joanne Miller
My en-suite bathroom counter top had seen better days but the rest of the unit was in good condition. Time for a budget reno.
I taped off the counter top and them prepped the counter top with ESP primer (Easy Surface Preparation) and then gave it 3 coats of an oil based paving paint. It took me a few days as I let each coat set for about 12 hours and gave a light sand between coats.
I let it cure for 10 days and it is now a hard and durable surface.
I am happy now with this easy makeover. It didn't cost me anything as I had the materials left from other jobs.

Paving paint? How interesting; I've never heard of that. It looks like you had a slab installed!

@Miriam I It is normally used to coat concrete steps and areas outside... very hard wearing and waterproof. I had some left over from another job and thought why not give it a go.
