Kids Bathroom: How I Updated My Builder-Grade Bathroom on a Budget
This builder-grade bathroom lacked any beauty or charm. With an orangey oak vanity and beige walls, this bathroom was an eyesore. With just a few areas of focus, this bathroom was transformed and updated on a budget.
Builders grade cabinets and wall color that lacks any personality.
The cabinets were an easy fix that turned them from undesirable to a major feature in the space. After lightly sanding, I applied this primer that I had leftover from previous projects. Kilz is magical! Never fails!
I followed that up with 2 coats of Benjamin Moore’s Hale Navy. This navy color warms up any space and gives a dull room some flair.
We added affordable brass utility pulls to the cabinets, making sure to find a pull that "fit" into the same drilled holes.
We painted the walls with Benjamin Moore Classic Grey. This color never gets old and is always in style.
I wanted to keep the shower curtain light and bright. I purchased this custom gray ticking shower curtain on Etsy from Southern Ticking Co . Its simplicity and neutral color in this space is perfect.
We hung a salvaged barnboard along the wall. The board was leveled and securely mounted to the wall.
We then attached 10 hooks to the board.
Finally, we decorated with some rustic farmhouse accessories and art to give it a completed look.
