After 13 years in our home, the time had finally come to take on the process of designing our dream master bathroom and bedroom! We basically left the same footprint of the bathroom, but made the shower larger (48" X 48") with a Kohler shower pan and removed the corner Jacuzzi tub. In the bedroom just painted the walls, ceiling, doors, trim, new hardware and installed new floors. We constructed the shower with 12" X 24" porcelain tiles, complete with mosaic glass accent tiles in the niche and a decorative 5" trim stripe, edged with a 3" X 6" bullnose tile. A frameless glass pivot shower door by Kohler was the finishing touch to our gorgeous new shower! We installed a drop in soaking tub (5' X 26" soaking depth) with a sleek overflow drain. Mirrored the look of the shower on the tub by using 6" X 24" tile and and a 3" glass mosaic decorative stripe, edged and topped with the bullnose. We had a custom 34 1/2" tall X 65" dark Charcoal stained vanity made, topped with Delicatus White Granite. We chose double rectangle, under mounted sinks. I went with a frameless beveled 42" X 60" mirror and a modern five light single bar style light fixture, with clear glass bell globes above the vanity. Upgraded the toilet to an elongated, raised height one by Kohler (the Elmbrook model). Installed a Home Netwerks bluetooth speaker exhaust fan, with built in LED light and a blue night light ring. All faucets are made by Moen, in the USA (vanity, shower and tub) as well are all of the wall accessories (towel rings, double towel rod, robe hook and toilet paper holder). There are so many brands on the market, we decided to limit our options and since Moen products are made in America, decision made!! We were very happy with the selections they have to offer. We chose to use the Danbury and the Hensley brushed nickel, spot resistant collections. However, the shower head is Moen Attract 26008SRN Magnetix and the PosiTemp shower trim kit is Moen from the Brantford collection (it's the handle and plate you turn the shower water on/off with ...and the ONLY thing I would change with this whole project!) LED soft white light bulbs were used for the ceiling fan, vanity light and recessed lighting (with dimmer switches). We also put in a fan control switch at the receptacle box for the ceiling fan in our bedroom, no more climbing on the bed to change the speed of the fan. We used Sherwin Williams paint for the walls in Dovetail (Eggshell), the trim and doors are in Mindful Gray (Satin). To close the project out we had waterproof LVP flooring laid in both rooms. We are thrilled with the results! I absolutely LOVE our new bathroom and bedroom sanctuary! We purchased everything at The Home Depot except the following; vanity and hardware, granite, sinks, vanity light, mirror, shower door and the flooring. Thank you for looking at our pictures and leaving any feedback. I hope you enjoy looking at the results as much as I do icon Here's a few before, after and completed room pictures below. I will be posting a full album with many more pictures on my Pinterest and Instagram soon.
What can I say, to us the shower is a work of art...it's so substantial, sleek and modern! We are just gaga over it! I want to take a shower multiple times a day lol!
The soaking tub is quite a vision and demands attention as soon as you walk in! The Roman Tub faucet was a perfect choice too!
NO words, I just love it! icon
Oh how we are enjoying the raised vanity, it looks espresso with the lighting of pictures, but it's a beautifully stained deep charcoal.
Vanity top..Delicatus White Granite! LOVE
We think the faucets and sinks came out pretty nice too.
Single bar style light with 5 clear glass bell shaped globes look super modern, compared to most bar lights this one is way different. We really wanted the option of having a lot of light and this is perfect for us, also being on a dimmer switch gives the room a romantic feel at night, or a really relaxing atmosphere while taking a bath.
I really like the shape of the globes and using the LED clear light bulbs it just makes them blend right in. I thought the yellow tip of inside the bulb would stand out too much and be annoying or that it would put out that "golden glow", but it didn't. I think for us they're so cool!
Love, Love, Love the floors and paint colors! Again, the lighting is kind of off but it's a lovely gray wall and trim.
Just another angle of our beautiful empty room! (The door goes out to a private deck off our bedroom)
SOOOOO happy with the way our Bedroom turned out! Still can't believe everyday I walk in there and it's ours! Blessed
