Last November I had a sudden urge to transform my tired, dated hallway half bath into something unique and pretty for when my friends come over. Something moved me to grab the paint.
After cleaning the countertop and sink I applied 3-4 coats of white metallic acrylic paint to the countertop, letting it dry well between coats. I followed with 3-4 coats of clear polyurethane. Next, I painted my plastic sink with champagne gold metallic paint the same way as the counter.
I then painted all of the woodwork and cabinets with black acrylic paint.
I thought, "How often do you get to sit on a gold "throne"?" So, I painted the toilet seat the same way as the sink. Also, while a coat of polyurethane paint was still wet on the lid, I laminated a drawing I had colored from an adult coloring book, and gave the top a couple of coats of polyurethane.
I have no experience at decorating a bathroom, so I added some framed drawings I've colored and added a couple of hummingbird figurines.

Thank you, Wendy! It's probably a work in progress, but is much better than before.
