Coastal Bathroom Driftwood Towel Holder

When we remodeled our bathroom I wanted it to have a coastal or beachy theme without having to put up seashells and mermaids ;)
I like a clean and simple decor so I wanted to find one piece that gave the beachy feel without all the miscellaneous decorations.
I came across some driftwood I had leftover from some previous projects and knew exactly what to do with it - a driftwood towel holder.
Get the full DIY here.
First, find a piece of driftwood that is relatively flat on both sides, or at least flat on the backside so that it attaches to your wall nicely. If your driftwood is not flat you can sand the back or you can use a table saw to cut the back so that it is flat.
Using a screwdriver or a drill, attach your hook or hooks to the driftwood where you would like them. I held my driftwood up to my wall so that I knew about where I wanted the hooks to be and then I marked those spots with a pencil so I knew where to attach my hooks.
Next, locate the studs in your wall. I found my studs and marked them with a pencil on the wall. Then I again held up my driftwood and made a mark on my driftwood where those studs will line up with my driftwood placement. I marked a spot on my driftwood so that I knew where the screws should go. See those black screws in the driftwood? Those are the screws that attach the driftwood to the wall.
Predrill those spots all the way through your driftwood and then attach your driftwood to the studs in your wall.

Then hang up your pretty towels and tell everyone to use a different bathroom so that your towels always look pretty ;)
