Use wall space as much as possible, you can put up cheap shelving and use baskets or dollar store bins on the shelves to keep things in. You can buy small stackable bins (even at the dollar store) and put these under the sink and stack them for more storage. They also make the over the toilet shelves, but those can be pricier.

Spice racks under the sink will give you more room for bottles. Hanging baskets from the ceiling from plant hooks can hold towels, over the door basket can hold blow dryers and curling irons. An over the door shoe organizers have pockets to hold soaps, shampoos, and other necessaries. A shelf over the door can hold extra toilet paper.

I use stackable drawers next to the toilet. Works great and provides an added space for a magazine or 2. Back of the door has over the door towel rack. Good post.

A back of the door shelving unit will provide additional storage area, which can be organized with canning jars to hold items visible yet decorative , like cotton balls, cotton swabs, soaps, bandages, toothbrushes, etc. also a shelf unit to go over the toilet. An over the door shelf can hold matching baskets which can be labeled to easily organize the contents (cleaning supplies, toilet paper, toiletry items, extra towels, etc)

Ugh, I feel your pain. My bathroom had zero storage. A pedestal sink and mirror screwed to the wall did not even allow for a spot for me to put a toothbrush because I refuse to put it on the back of the toilet . I bought four white L brackets and one 6 foot x 6" long white shelving board from my local big box DIY store. I asked them to cut 2 feet off of one end of the board. I mounted the 2 foot shelf just below the mirror above the sink so I would have a spot for toothbrush toothpaste and soap. I mounted the 4 foot board well above head level on the opposite wall of the shower for towels and toilet paper storage. Tada! No added floor space was used and it took me an hour to do, and my favorite part was that cost me less than $20
