Tips To Organize A Bathroom Without Drawers

My kid's bathroom was a hot mess. I know part of the reason is that there are no drawers in their cabinets. Here are some tips I used to get their bathroom under control again. You can see more of my crazy creations here

Here's a look at our kid's counter and the cabinets (no drawers). Most things ended up on the counters because it was so hard to put them away.

The first thing I did was gut all of the cabinets. Then I went through every item and determined if it was something we needed to keep or not.

I wiped down the cabinet doors, and the floor of the insides of the cabinets to make sure they were good and clean.

I measured the cabinet openings for their height, width, and depth.

I made a plan and ran to the store to pick up some supplies.

I bought shelves to utilize the space better inside the cabinet. I purchased bins that would serve as drawers.

I filled one bin with backup supplies.

On one once side I placed my daughter's dance tote on top, and both my kid's travel bags below.

I kept the 3 drawer organizer I had purchased in the past and set it on top of the drawers. I placed washcloths, and lotion in tubs. I let the kids help determine what they use on a regular basis or not.

On top of the counter between their sinks, I placed a mini drawer system. This would hold items they both use like toothpaste, flossers, retainer cleaning tablets, etc.

My daughter's side has a medicine cabinet. To clean up the counters I placed her toothbrush and flosser in there with some other supplies she uses daily.

I purchased a medicine cabinet to put on my son's side. The only bummer is this one doesn't have adjustable shelves. I placed baskets inside to help hold his items in the cabinet.

Since his toothbrush and flosser wouldn't fit in the cabinet I placed them in a basket. This would allow for easy cleaning.

I also bought some over the cabinet door baskets to gain more storage. The key here is to make sure the items in the cabinet are back far enough so your door can close.

I'm thrilled with how it all turned out and it's so much neater and organized.
